Building an internet marketing business (or any endeavor) is an effort in self-confidence. You can’t be successful in life unless you believe in yourself.
Did you know believing in yourself is actually a choice? But too often we sabotage our choices by negative self-talk. This is a bad habit that keeps us below our potential.
Our destructive internal dialogue often goes something like this – ‘I’ve never done this before’; or ‘I’m too young’; or ‘I don’t have enough experience’.
It’s a bad habit of thinking because what you SAY will often come to pass. It’s scary how much authority God has given us over our own lives!
It doesn’t even matter how much technical skill, education, or experience you have – if you keep sabotaging yourself you won’t get anywhere.
It’s like building a bridge and then blowing it up again. The bridge never gets built that way! Stop being your own worst enemy!
Did you know the phrase I CAN’T is the most powerful force of negation in the human psyche? You should work very hard at throwing “I CAN’T” out of your vocabulary.
Become aware of your thought-life and your words. Catch yourself every time you start thinking or talking negatively. Then immediately replace those thoughts and words with positive ones. I call this process – Identify and Replace.
As you practice this, little by little you’ll feel strengthened from the inside-out. But you must be diligent; otherwise the old habits will come back!
One last piece of advice – we encourage you to separate yourself from negative people. If you have negative friends, don’t put up with their negativity (or maybe find new friends!)
And for God’s sake – shut off the TV. We believe the hyper-negative media and newspapers are killing the spirit of optimism and positive thinking. We say – shut it down!
