One of the biggest obstacles stopping us from moving ahead in life is our inability to start making powerful decisions. We flounder in our fears, remaining indecisive and stuck where we’re at. So let’s continue the internet marketing fear series.
We have trouble making decisions because we’ve been taught not to make mistakes. We’re so afraid of making errors that we decide to do nothing at all. Once again, fear rules our lives.
The best way to overcome this is to change how you think about making powerful decisions. After all your life can change in an instant.
The WIN-LOSE MODEL.
Most people think in terms of “Win-Lose” when making decisions. For example, “If I decide on choice #1 – it may be right or wrong. If I decide on choice #2 – it may also be right or wrong. Oh my gosh, what should I do? I might make a mistake!!”
Can you see that by thinking that way you are creating weakness in yourself? You’re always trying to avoid making an error and that is far from making powerful decisions.
Our recommendation is that you change your thinking to a “WIN-WIN” model.
The WIN-WIN MODEL.
The WIN-WIN model goes like this: choice #1 is right and there are unique benefits to be gained if I go that way. And also choice #2 is right as well, and it has unique benefits too. The WIN-WIN model says that you really can’t make a mistake because each path has unique and wonderful opportunities for you to experience life in a new way.
In other words, whatever path you choose – new opportunities and new doors will open for you that you never even knew existed before!
Wow – what a wonderful way to think about making powerful decisions. Whatever decision you make, you cannot fail. You’ll just produce a new set of outcomes that can then be dealt with as you move forward in your life path. That is a much safer playing ground.
In the next post, we’ll give you some important tips on what to do just prior to making a powerful decision and just after. Until then – make some decisive decisions and move forward!
Now, start making powerful decisions,
Glen & Dan
