Internet Marketing Seminars

las_vegas

Hi, Glen Wayne here. Internet Marketing seminars totally rock!

I am sitting in my hotel room in Las Vegas getting this update to you. Undoubtedly you have heard Dan and I tell you that internet marketing seminars are vital to your online success. We practice what we preach in that we make sure that our continuing education is truly continuing at all times. I have been in Las Vegas learning information that will blow you away!

As a matter of fact… Dan Tredo and I would have never met and would have not become business partners if we did not attend internet marketing seminars. Las Vegas was the scene of our meeting and we launched our business partnership in January, 2010. My, a lot of great things have happened since then and we have made huge strides in our business.

It never ceases to amaze me how much you can learn from people. They might be up on the stage doing a presentation or they might be someone you meet in a one on one situation… either way you are shocked with the many golden nuggets that you pick up in those encounters. You also meet some knuckleheads but hey, they’re fun too but you can’t learn a thing from them. LOL.

This will not be the last time that we tell you that you MUST attend internet marketing seminars to keep your gravy train in motion. You gain momentum, you learn new strategies that have been tested in the heat of battle, your self-confidence blossoms, plus other amazing things that happen, like finding JV partners or even business partners.

The bottom line is that internet marketing seminars are the fuel that keeps your rockets blasting skyward. Please do yourself a favor and book you next internet marketing seminar right away.

Now I am off to enjoy the swimming pool. I know it won’t be too crowded because those people that have a J-O-B (Jump Outta Bed) are at work and I am now going to play. Another tip, this trip is tax deductible. Very cool.

Dedicated to your success,

Glen Wayne (and Dan Tredo.)

Internet Marketers – Say Yes To Your Universe

Say Yes To Your Universe

One of the most valuable lessons in life for diminishing fear is wrapped-up in the phrase “SAY YES TO YOUR UNIVERSE”. We thank author Susan Jeffers for giving us this phrase. It was uttered to a patient who was complaining bitterly about a particular circumstance in her life.

What does it mean? It’s simple – whatever happens in your life, just nod your head up and down instead of shaking it side to side. Just say yes instead of no. We have begun to incorporate this phrase into our lives with almost magical results. The Internet Marketing Myth Busters do take these things to heart and apply them into our lives.

The word ‘universe’ indicates the unexpected events that happen to you in life that so often knocks us into a tizzy.

The phrase “say yes” means accepting (and agreeing) with the things that happen to us. It means not resisting the events that ultimately shape us. It means receiving circumstances with grace and believing that all things (even bad things) are working together for your ultimate good.

However, most people are in the habit of “saying no” to their universe. They kick and scream and complain and resist everything that happens to them. “Saying No” means playing the victim again. It yells “I can’t cope – I can’t handle this – What am I going to do?”

Not only does “saying yes” help you cope with the daily disappointments of life (my roofs leaking, my car broke down, I injured my back) – but it’s also a miracle cure for handling paralyzing fear.

For example, when I was just starting out in business, I tried my hand at vending machines. I bought 3 machines costing me $15,000. After working the business for over a year, I discovered I hated it. Plus I was still working a full time job, so I had to rush around early in the morning servicing the machines and fielding complaints from my customers. I decided to quit the business and sell the machines. I discovered nobody wanted to buy them and I ended up dumping them for pennies on the dollar. My initial thoughts were – how stupid was I, what a terrible loss!

I was definitely “saying no” to that situation. I grumbled and complained so much about my own stupidity that fear crept in again. I began concluding that business was not for me and I would never try it again.

Later, I realized it was a great experience because I learned what types of businesses that I did not want to be in. I started “saying yes” to the experience. Now when I look back, I know that if I hadn’t taken that vending machine risk, I would have never learned what I did. Plus, the great things happening to me, right now, in internet marketing would have never come about… had I not built my future from past experiences, no matter how tough they were.

The I.M. Myth Busters suggest this – LEARN TO SAY YES TO YOUR UNIVERSE. It takes practice, but it offloads so much stress and helps you alleviate fear. You can’t always control what happens to you, but you can control your ‘responses’ to what happens to you – by saying YES. Your future is bright with this simple knowledge.

To saying yes to your universe,
Dan & Glen

Before And After Your Powerful Decision

powerful_decision

Let’s now explore the time before and after your powerful decision as we continue the internet marketing fear series.

In our last post, (entitled Pt 9, “How To Start Making Powerful Decisions), we discussed a great way to start thinking about making decisions called the WIN-WIN Model. Ultimately, the WIN-WIN Model says that it doesn’t really matter which powerful decision you make because each course has its own unique experiences and benefits. Essentially, you can’t lose no matter which decision you make.

However, the WIN-WIN Model does not say you should just go out and make decisions willy-nilly. Careful consideration is always recommended before making any decisions.

But so many people are afraid to make any decisions because they fear making a mistake. This is the result of thinking in terms of a WIN-LOSE Model of decision making, and causes a lot of stress and stagnation.

So in this post, we would like to give you some simple tips to follow before and after making powerful decisions. All great decision-makers follow these patterns, and you should too. So here we go:

BEFORE making a major decision, try these steps:

1. Focus immediately on the WIN-WIN Model. Affirm “I can’t lose, because my decisions will provide only new opportunties to grow and move forward.
2. Do your homework. Talk with others, get advice, research, and prepare yourself for the decision. But then at some point, you will have to just “pull the trigger”.
3. Establish you priorities. Take time to really know what you want and get a good “picture” of it in your mind. This will help you narrow your decision points.
4. Lighten up. Most people take themselves way to seriously. Just make the decision and have fun with the outcomes. The worlds full of opportunities no matter which way you go!

AFTER making the decision, try these steps:

1. Throw away your picture. Once the decision is made, throw away your original expectations of how it was suppose to be. Just work through it however it turns out.
2. Accept total responsibility for your decisions. This is a tough one because it’s so easy to blame others for bad decisions. Don’t do that. Just take 100% responsibility for your choices and own-up to them.
3. Don’t protect – just correct. If the outcome of your decision does not work out, don’t try to protect it (or protect yourself) – just change it! Practice making course changes immediately and you will get better and better at making good decisions.

Now go out and make some powerful decisions, especially in the areas where you are experiencing fear. Remember – whichever way you go, you cannot fail!

To the power of your decisions!

Dan and Glen

How To Start Making Powerful Decisions

making_decisions

One of the biggest obstacles stopping us from moving ahead in life is our inability to start making powerful decisions. We flounder in our fears, remaining indecisive and stuck where we’re at. So let’s continue the internet marketing fear series.

We have trouble making decisions because we’ve been taught not to make mistakes. We’re so afraid of making errors that we decide to do nothing at all. Once again, fear rules our lives.

The best way to overcome this is to change how you think about making powerful decisions. After all your life can change in an instant.

The WIN-LOSE MODEL.

Most people think in terms of “Win-Lose” when making decisions. For example, “If I decide on choice #1 – it may be right or wrong. If I decide on choice #2 – it may also be right or wrong. Oh my gosh, what should I do? I might make a mistake!!”

Can you see that by thinking that way you are creating weakness in yourself? You’re always trying to avoid making an error and that is far from making powerful decisions.

Our recommendation is that you change your thinking to a “WIN-WIN” model.

The WIN-WIN MODEL.

The WIN-WIN model goes like this: choice #1 is right and there are unique benefits to be gained if I go that way. And also choice #2 is right as well, and it has unique benefits too. The WIN-WIN model says that you really can’t make a mistake because each path has unique and wonderful opportunities for you to experience life in a new way.

In other words, whatever path you choose – new opportunities and new doors will open for you that you never even knew existed before!

Wow – what a wonderful way to think about making powerful decisions. Whatever decision you make, you cannot fail. You’ll just produce a new set of outcomes that can then be dealt with as you move forward in your life path. That is a much safer playing ground.

In the next post, we’ll give you some important tips on what to do just prior to making a powerful decision and just after. Until then – make some decisive decisions and move forward!

Now, start making powerful decisions,

Glen & Dan

Stop Playing The Victim

playing the victim

Are you playing the victim, or are you taking 100% responsibility for your life?

That’s a tough question, because most of us think we are being responsible adults even though we may not be.

For example, when I was in the corporate world, deep down inside I really hated my job and knew I was in the wrong career field. But I stayed in it for years mostly because I was afraid of making any changes. But instead of taking responsibility and doing something about it, I stayed in it complaining and blaming others for my plight. And it was easy to justify my lack of power.

Did you notice the three nasty habits I participated in? They were complaining, blaming, and justifying. These habits are held by most people who like to play the victim. Let’s discuss them.

Complaining. When you constantly complain, you are actually attracting more of the very thing you complain about! And complainers never take the actions necessary to make positive change. Bitching and moaning is one of the worst things you can do. And it has a horrible effect on those around you. Do whatever it takes to drop this nasty habit from your life. When you are complaining you are playing the victim.

Blaming. When you forever blame other people for the circumstances in your life, you are by choice playing the role of a victim. In your mind, it’s everybody else’s fault. But blaming just makes you weak and keeps you from doing what must be done. When you blame, you are giving away your power to others, and this keeps you forever stuck. Blamers are helpless victims. It’s no wonder their fears are so great! Stop blaming and start taking action. When you are blaming you are playing the victim.

Justifying. When you justify, you are making excuses for your weakness and passing responsibility on to someone else. Justifying and blaming usually go hand in hand. It’s a form of rationalizing why you are weak. For example, “I’m not starting a business because the economy is bad”. Examining your motives closely, you may be just justifying your own helplessness by excusing yourself from taking action. Stop justifying, and start doing! When you are justifying you are playing the victim.

This was a difficult post. We wanted to be in your face about this because complaining, blaming, and justifying are so self-destructive. The only way to confront these habits is to take 100% responsibility for every aspect of your life. It takes bravery and self-awareness, but it can be done.

Let’s stop playing the victim!

Expanding Your Comfort Zone

comfort zone

For most people, starting a business means getting out of your comfort zone. The comfort zone is that place where you feel – well, most comfortable.

But the trouble with the comfort zone is that people tend to stay in it – never moving out, never expanding, and never growing. They end up stuck in life by the fear of stepping out.

Our suggestion is to do something every single day that expands your comfort zone.

For example, go ahead and make that difficult phone call you’ve been afraid to make. Or how about asking for something you’ve been afraid to ask for. Or here’s a good one – how about taking that first step toward building (or expanding) your Internet marketing business.

What we are saying is – take at least one risk every single day! Stretch that comfort zone.

Just like working out your muscles in the gym makes you stronger – taking a risk everyday makes you stronger in life. You literally become a less helpless and more powerful person.

As an example, when Dan & Glen (The Myth Busters) wanted to build an internet marketing business, we took a risk by attending seminars (the risk was time and money). Then we took another risk by deciding to partner together. Then we took more risks by starting the Myth Busters Blog and learning how to build a client list. Now we are taking even bigger risks in order to take our business to the next level. Watch for the Internet Marketing Select Summit later in 2010.

Each risk involved stepping into the unknown. But every time we stepped out, we expanded our comfort zone. Now we can do things that before were very scary.

Here’s a great phrase to memorize: Success lies just outside your comfort zone!

If you want to succeed, you’ll have to get yourself doing exactly what you’re uncomfortable with. It’s just like learning to ride a bike – at first it’s difficult, then it becomes second nature.

And don’t ever worry about making mistakes. If it doesn’t work out exactly as planned – just learn from it, make adjustments, and move on. That is how all success is achieved!

So get out there and do things outside your comfort zone. Your success depends on it!

To your ever-expanding comfort zone!

Dan & Glen
